Trip itinerary
The first day is a time to breathe, acclimatize, and ease into the rhythm of the journey. Lake Zell am See, surrounded by mountains, creates a perfect backdrop for rest and group bonding. It’s a moment to slow down, talk about expectations, and prepare for the upcoming mountain adventures.
The entire town of Zell am See stretches around the lake. You can rent a boat and go for a ride, or simply relax after the journey with a beer and beautiful views. On the first day, it’s not worth overexerting yourself – it's better to calmly talk about the upcoming hike. It’s a good idea to talk about yourself and your expectations for the trip. The better the group understands each other’s needs, the easier it is to meet them and make sure everyone is happy. In the evening, you can play a board game by a Polish author and see who reaches the mountains first.
The second day is a true mountain adventure in the heart of the Alps – a meeting with nature, silence, and your own abilities. From peaceful lakes, through encounters with grazing cows, up to a 2000-meter ascent and an exciting via ferrata. All at a harmonious pace – with time for rest, photos, and contemplation.

The Alpine mountains and meadows are a land of grazing cows and sheep. As you hike upward, you’ll hear the gentle bells of these animals. After the first lake, we reach a plateau full of these constantly chewing creatures. Taking a snack break, we can observe the animals — and they can take a close look at us. Why up close? When we were there as a group, the cows came up on their own and sniffed the participants. After lunch, we turn left, climb through a pass, and reach the neighboring valley, where another beautiful lake awaits. Peace, few people, breathtaking landscape – it’s the perfect place to connect with nature and dive into your own thoughts. It’s truly a secluded spot. If the previous lake was like a mirror, reflecting everything around, then this one is completely different. Turquoise water, no one nearby – the whole place carries an air of mystery. In such an atmosphere, it’s perfect to sit down and reflect on the meaning of life, philosophize, or even meditate. And that’s exactly what we’ll do – we’ll sit around the lake and immerse ourselves in contemplation of this beauty. After meditation and rest, it will be time for the first or another ascent of the not-too-demanding Winterkogel (2000 m). You’ll feel like a true conqueror, and the view of the small lake at the foot of the mountain is impressive. Next in the program is Lake WieSsee. We’ll cross a via ferrata. Moving with the group calmly and unhurriedly, taking photos, snack breaks and time for meditation, and trying out the via ferrata with a harness and lanyard, the whole thing will take about 4–5 hours. But what an adventure it will be! We’ll spend the night high in the mountains at 2000 m. No worries – that’s not an altitude where altitude sickness appears. After such an active day, you’ll sleep like a baby.
This day is a unique mountain challenge and a great satisfaction – after morning coffee with a view, we set off for a new valley to conquer Grosser Gresskogel (3066 m). We learn the technique of putting on crampons, ascend higher than ever before, and admire Alpine landscapes from an entirely new perspective. It’s a day that stays in your heart for a long time.

What could be more pleasant than morning coffee? Only morning coffee in the mountains, with an incredible view. Today we’re heading to the next valley, where two more lakes await. Each valley is unique in its own way. If after a few days you’ve had enough of lakes, today there’s something even more exciting – a 3000-meter ascent. After yesterday’s easy climb to 2000 m, today’s Grosser Gresskogel (3066 m) is a bit more challenging, but still within reach. We’ll practice putting on crampons in a safe spot and use that skill on the way to the summit. In just two days, you’ll reach 3066 meters and conquer two peaks – an unforgettable adventure and memories for a lifetime.
To conclude the expedition, we’ll take a cable car up the majestic Kitzsteinhorn (over 3000 m), where we can enjoy the Alpine landscape without any effort. At the top, we’ll drink coffee, have lunch in a restaurant with a view, and take the last photos in the snowy scenery. After returning down, we’ll relax in a pool and end the adventure with a sense of fulfillment.

The cable car ride requires no physical effort, but the views are breathtaking. At the intermediate stop, before reaching the top of Kitzsteinhorn, you can visit a unique little shop and buy a cool T-shirt with the mountain logo and other souvenirs. It’s worth having a coffee, taking a walk around the area, and then riding the last section of the cable car. At the very top, there’s a restaurant where you can have lunch. If you want, you can climb to the very summit of Kitzsteinhorn, but it’s not necessary – you’ve already reached a peak above 3000 meters. This is the land of eternal winter, where snow remains all year round and skiing enthusiasts race down the slopes. After lunch, we’ll ride down and head to the pool, where we’ll end our adventure. You can finally fully relax – we did it. We reached two peaks, discovered the beauty of nature, and admired stunning lakes. Now it’s time to return home.

What our travelers say
My husband and I were invited on a trip to Zakopane to see the mountain lake Morskie Oko. Zakopane is a Polish town nestled at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. I'd especially like to mention our guide, Oleg, who perfectly planned the itinerary and booked our accommodations in advance.
An unforgettable winter walk in the mountains on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic! It was an ordinary winter in the valleys, but as soon as we climbed higher, we entered a true fairytale. This view has stayed with me forever.
My coolest adventure with Bright Mountain Adventures was the August trek to Spielmann in the Alps, as part of a five-day stay in the Austrian mountains. Everything was perfectly organized: comfortable transport, delicious snacks, clear safety rules, and a guide who cared for us like we were his own slightly lost and inexperienced mountain kids. What stayed with me the most was their approach to safety.
The first few kilometers were along a forest path, with a decent incline, but still without any real suffering. Fortunately, we had a great guide: Oleg—a navigator and a walking Wikipedia, who knew not only where to turn but also every interesting fact about the local landscapes. At the end of the trip—pleasant exhaustion, lots of photos, and a firm resolve: we had to do it again.
The guide planned the entire route from A to Z. Because I have a leg problem and couldn't walk much, he chose the shortest possible route for me. The views were simply stunning, and safety was paramount and a top priority. I'm very grateful to our guide. The trip was intense, full of beautiful places and "wow" views.
