Our adventure begins in picturesque Špindlerův Mlýn, where our first stop is a lake and relaxation by the Elbe River.
After checking in, we head out for a coffee with a view at a high-altitude café, then hike to the impressive Labe Waterfall and on to the Labská Bouda mountain hut, where local delicacies and incredible panoramas await.
We return along a different trail, admiring the views of the Karkonosze Mountains at sunset.
In the evening we will have a barbecue, Czech beer and relax by the river or take a walk along the promenade.

Our adventure begins in the vibrant mountain town of Špindlerův Mlýn, the gateway to the Krkonoše Mountains.
A lake greets us at the entrance. We'll take a break here to enjoy the scenery.
Then we will camp by the river, where we can breathe in the fresh mountain air and listen to the quiet sound of the Elbe flowing through the valley.
After settling into a cozy cottage, we will head to a high-mountain café for a cup of aromatic coffee and to admire the beauty of the surrounding mountain landscapes.
Next, we set off on our first hike: the picturesque trail to the Elbe Waterfall (Labský vodopád). The path gently winds through pine forests, occasionally offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Along the way, we might encounter local wildlife, such as deer and mountain birds. After a refreshing climb, a mighty waterfall appears before us – an ideal spot for a picnic and photos. In the afternoon, we head higher up the trail to Labská Bouda – a mountain hut at an altitude of 1,340 meters above sea level. Here, you can enjoy a hot beverage and sample a traditional Czech cake or order a large blueberry dumpling while admiring the breathtaking panoramas of the Krkonoše ridge.
As the sun begins to set, we will return to Špindlerův Mlýn via a different route, discovering new views of the valley.
In the evening, we'll prepare a barbecue and chat by the fire, accompanied by Czech beer. If we're feeling energetic, we'll take a walk along the illuminated promenade or simply relax in comfortable armchairs by the mountain river to recharge and prepare for our next adventures.
After breakfast, we set off high into the mountains to conquer Śnieżka or walk along the ridge of the Krkonoše Mountains among alpine meadows and breathtaking panoramas. Along the way, we’ll stop at cozy mountain huts for some local treats and a short rest. We will see the source of the Elbe River, glacial valleys, and feel the extraordinary peace of the mountain wilderness. The day will end with an adrenaline-filled toboggan run — a perfect finale to our Krkonoše adventure.

After breakfast, we set off early high into the mountains. Our goal: reaching the summit of Sněžka, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, or a scenic walk along the ridge of the Krkonoše Mountains. The ascent follows well-marked trails through forests that gradually give way to alpine meadows full of flowers in the warm months. On the ridge, we enjoy breathtaking views of Poland and all of the Czech Republic. We stop at mountain huts like Výrovka or Luční Bouda to regain strength with hearty soups and local specialties. There is a unique peace and vastness here; only the wind and the sound of grazing sheep bells break the silence. On the descent, we discover new perspectives: you can peek at the source of the Elbe, marked by a stone monument, or explore glacial valleys shaped by ancient ice. Returning to Špindlerův Mlýn in the late afternoon, you’ll feel the lively atmosphere of the town that pleasantly warms you after the peaceful highlands. To end Day 2, we’ll descend the mountain on a bobsled track – could there be anything more exciting after a long uphill hike?

What our travelers say
My husband and I were invited on a trip to Zakopane to see the mountain lake Morskie Oko. Zakopane is a Polish town nestled at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. I'd especially like to mention our guide, Oleg, who perfectly planned the itinerary and booked our accommodations in advance.
An unforgettable winter walk in the mountains on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic! It was an ordinary winter in the valleys, but as soon as we climbed higher, we entered a true fairytale. This view has stayed with me forever.
My coolest adventure with Bright Mountain Adventures was the August trek to Spielmann in the Alps, as part of a five-day stay in the Austrian mountains. Everything was perfectly organized: comfortable transport, delicious snacks, clear safety rules, and a guide who cared for us like we were his own slightly lost and inexperienced mountain kids. What stayed with me the most was their approach to safety.
The first few kilometers were along a forest path, with a decent incline, but still without any real suffering. Fortunately, we had a great guide: Oleg—a navigator and a walking Wikipedia, who knew not only where to turn but also every interesting fact about the local landscapes. At the end of the trip—pleasant exhaustion, lots of photos, and a firm resolve: we had to do it again.
The guide planned the entire route from A to Z. Because I have a leg problem and couldn't walk much, he chose the shortest possible route for me. The views were simply stunning, and safety was paramount and a top priority. I'm very grateful to our guide. The trip was intense, full of beautiful places and "wow" views.
